How we come to an engagement
Every engagement at Pendara Group begins with an initial conversation — at no charge and with no obligation. This is not a discovery call designed to close a sale. It is a genuine look at whether we are the right fit for the passage you are navigating. Many leaders find it useful even if they proceed no further.
Where an engagement does begin, we follow the leader's own pace. We carry no agenda from one session to the next. Notes are kept only when requested. Each engagement ends with a written reflection — a short document the leader can keep, reread, and return to as they move through the passage they came to us with.
Engagement 01
Leadership Companionship
A standing engagement for managing directors, senior partners, and chief executives who want a thoughtful outside companion through a particular passage — a transition, a new role, the difficult middle of a long project. Sessions are held fortnightly over six months, in person where possible, by video where not. Each session lasts ninety minutes. No agenda is imposed. Notes are kept only at the leader's request and shared with no one.
What is included
- Twelve ninety-minute sessions over six months
- In person (Shah Alam) or by video — leader's choice each session
- No agenda, no homework, no reports to anyone
- Notes kept only if explicitly requested by the leader
- Closing reflective letter at the end of the engagement
How it unfolds
Initial conversation to establish fit and intention — no charge, no obligation.
First session within two weeks. The leader brings whatever is present for them.
Fortnightly sessions over six months, with no fixed structure imposed by the practitioner.

Engagement 02
Team Conversation
A measured intervention for a senior team that has lost some of its rhythm. We sit with each member individually, listen carefully, and then convene a single facilitated half-day in which the team works through three or four specific questions of working relationship. The aim is not transformation but the re-establishment of useful conversation. The engagement typically runs five weeks from start to close.
What is included
- Individual listening sessions with each team member
- One facilitated half-day (typically 4 hours)
- Short written reflection for each participant
- Closing summary document for the leader
- Optional follow-up check-in four weeks after the half-day
How it unfolds
Initial scoping conversation with the leader to understand the team's current position.
Individual sessions with each team member — typically 60–90 minutes each, in confidence.
Facilitated half-day: three or four questions, unhurried. No flip charts. No breakout groups.
Written reflections and closing summary delivered within one week of the half-day.

Engagement 03
Reflective Letter
A single written engagement. A leader sends us a letter describing a current question of their own practice — how to handle a difficult report, the wording of a parting message, a question of role and tenure — and we reply within ten business days with a considered written response of around fifteen hundred words. One letter per engagement; further correspondence by separate arrangement. No meeting required.
What is included
- A considered written response (~1,500 words)
- Delivered within ten business days of receipt

- No ongoing commitment — one letter, one response

How it unfolds
Leader sends a written letter describing their question — no minimum or maximum length.
We read it carefully, sit with it, and write a considered response over several days.

Standards common to all three engagements
Total confidentiality
Nothing discussed in any engagement is shared outside the practice, under any circumstances.
Stated timelines honoured
The Reflective Letter is delivered within ten business days. Session dates are held firm. We do not reschedule without significant cause.
No conflicts of interest
We do not work with organisations in direct competition with one another. Potential conflicts are disclosed before any engagement begins.
No unsolicited contact
We do not send newsletters, follow-up emails, or event invitations. You control the pace of any ongoing relationship.
Data handled with care
Any written correspondence is stored securely and retained only for as long as necessary. We comply with Malaysian personal data protection requirements.
Honest fit assessment
If we are not the right practice for your needs, we will say so — and where possible, help you find someone better suited.
